Used in North America for centuries, wood construction is a reliable, light and durable alternative to concrete blocks. Besides the modern construction process (damp-proof course or DPC, finishing with plaster boards, …) render the property water and fire resistant at comparable level than concrete blocks constructions.

Amongst the majors advantages related to wood construction we can as well underscore the light structure that allows to easily building on existing structures together with the impressive insulation abilities.

On top of that our constructions are equipped with heat pumps that allows to significantly reduce the energy consumption and brings additional comfort through the ability to provide heating in the winter but cooling in the summer as well.

Sustainable renovations:

Renovation is the most tricky real estate project since you never precisely know upfront what you will have to face. At In Tectis we do purchase older properties, renovate it with a focus on energy consumption, health & well being and commercialize the final product while it meets our sustainability standards.

Renovation is obviously the major challenge for the coming years, there is a huge amount of properties that urgently needs to be renovated and the population of modern cities is growing at an impressive speed. The consequence of both these facts is that the quality of the residential properties is going down while the price are maintained or even sometimes increasing.

Renovation, including extension, of existing properties can thus provide a new life to older building, has a lower impact on the environment that building from scratch or, worse, destroying to rebuild and is also a way to keep a trace of our past.
